Seasons Receives Rave Reviews from Ed Fringe Run
The cast of 'Seasons' has recently returned from their run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2026, and are all busy recovering ready for our next set of projects. However, reviews from their show have been coming in thick and fast, and it's safe to say, people loved it!
The show received 5 stars from fringe fanatic and reviewer Tony Loves The Fringe, who described the show as 'one of the sweetest little shows I’ve seen in a while.' Giving the company their first ever professional review, and a 5 star one at that.
But the positive reviews did not stop there as the show also received 4 stars from Anjali Singh at Broadway Baby and Theatre Village. The former described the show as, 'a funny, magical and very touching children’s show. Highly recommended.' With the latter commenting, 'For an Edinburgh Fringe production, the scenery was amazing. There is a real homemade quality to many of the props, but I mean that positively. They don’t look as though they’ve simply been ordered from a professional scenery company; they look as though they’ve been created specifically for this story and this world. It gives Willow Park its own identity and adds considerable charm to the production.' (Shoutout to our Head of Design there!)
Aside from the critics, the audience reviews were just as wonderful to receive with one commenting, 'Beautifully written, heartwarming and so delicately done. Made me laugh, tear up and feel all the feelings. The songs were gorgeous and the puppetry was so special.' Another commented that there is, 'not another performance like this at fringe!'
Attention now turns towards our next production, our Christmas Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk with preparations now well underway, but perhaps with reviews like these, another Fringe run is on the cards for Cardboard Box Theatre Company...
